Getting The Most From Our Education :: essays research papers

Getting The Most From Our EducationMy goodness Captain, you collect some hard questions I think some of theresponsibility could eliminate into the familys lap. Are the great unwashed abeting their kidswith their homework? Are we checking to see if in that location is anything we can do to military service? Are we praising thier accomplishments, and encouraging them, alternatively ofcritizing. Do we still check to see who their friends are? These were some ofthe things my parents did. As with most parents they made mistakes, as did I,but they did their best. And I did my best to start amends to them when I drifted.I think, I know I could begin done better in school, Im not sure if my studyhabits would alternate today. (one of the reasons Im alittle reluctant to go backto college) But the values I well-educated young seem to be the ones that stick. And Ifeel the worst when I fall short of keeping them. That doesnt mean that the latevalues Im reading arent just as important, it just seems like it takes longerfor me to incorperate them in my workaday life. But, just like everything else, ittakes alot of practise to get things right. Maybe we do get to do more tocreate civic pride, do take a leak something that people can say, "Im involved withthis". For me everytime I check out and explore something new I always learnsomething. And whenever I reach out and help someone, I fell good. It was greatto see the students of General Brown help out in the community with theThanksgiving dinner for the seniors (I know thither was another school that helpedout too, I forgot who, if someone else remembers, please starting signal in and add theirthanks to the list). If we want our kids to be less self-centered, we have toshow them the example. If they dont follow, it wont be from lack of exposure. This is a transient world nowadays. The kids that grow up and get educated here
